HWR Ready To Try Evergreen Again

Tacoma, Washington – 6-20-2011 – After the less than satisfying outing during the month of May, the HayWire Racing team are set to return to Evergreen Speedway Saturday, June 25th as both Tommy Rasmussen and "Terrible" Tim McDougald will try the big 5/8mile oval once again.

Race one of the "Big West" races saw "Terrible" Tim and his #68 KMB Design / Hargis Engineers / Print-NW / Cornwell Tools / Ringers Gloves Toyota Camry end his night early after a spin and hard contact with the wall very early on. Tommy Rasmussen, driving the #92 Mo-Dane Trucking / RPM Sales & Service / Vital Signs Chevrolet Impala suffered a suspension failure in the first Main Event and then fought a loose setup in the second Main Event, holding on for the team's first top-10 of the year.

Back at the shop, the team set to work repairing the damaged suspension on the #92 Mo-Dane Trucking / RPM Sales & Service / Vital Signs Chevrolet Impala and making a few small changes to the setup in preparation for the next scheduled event. In the next stall over, the #68 KMB Design / Hargis Engineers / Print-NW / Cornwell Tools / Ringers Gloves Toyota Camry was undergoing its own repair process. With heavy damage to the front suspension and some damage to the frame, this car would take a bit longer. But the small family team would work through it all, getting both cars ready with plenty of time to spare.

With all the work done on the cars, both drivers are looking forward to getting back to the track and building on Tommy's top-10. Look for both cars to begin moving to the front this Saturday, June 25th at Evergreen Speedway, "The Super Speedway of the West"!
