GET SOME AIR DURING SATURDAY’S SUPERMOTO SERIES ROUND 2

KENT, Wash. — (June 7, 2011) It’s time for more two-wheel action at the region’s top motorsports venue with Round 2 of the Stars of PGP SuperMoto Series on Saturday.

With good weather in the forecast the dirt section will be open for riders to catch some air before heading back onto the challenging twists and turns of our state-of-the-art .82-mile asphalt track.

Food will be provided by Simply the Best catering, so don’t worry about packing a lunch.

We’re adding a Knobby class for just $50 this Saturday; Member pricing for all other classes is: $75 for the first entry, with a second entry $25 more and the third one free. Transponder rental fees have been waived for this event.

The 2011 edition of the Stars of PGP SuperMoto Series features at least 8 classes — SMJR, 250/400F, Open Am, 450, 35+ Veteran, Pro, Unlimited, Asphalt only — and we’ll offer a place for Quads if the need develops. We haven’t forgotten Pee Wee riders, either: they will run during breaks in the program.

The series follows our tried-and-true format, with gates open at 7 a.m. and practice at 9 a.m., followed by the very popular computer-scored qualifying, heat races and final events for all classes. The day will conclude with an awards ceremony.

Don’t forget we’re offering an exclusive SuperMoto practice session from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday. We will have rental kart sessions mixed in (no racing karts allowed), but don’t worry: SuperMoto riders will get plenty of track time. For a change of pace on Friday, you can trade two wheels in for four and try a rental kart out for just $20 — a savings of $15!

The remaining dates for the Stars of PGP SuperMoto Series are: Round 3, Saturday, July 16; Round 4, Saturday, Aug. 20; and the finale on Sunday, Aug. 21.

Although the event is rain-or-shine, in the event of rain, all laps will be run only on the asphalt track. A diagram of the course, series primer, raceday schedule and complete rules and regulations can be found at www.pacificgp.com.
