ASA ADVANCE TESTING BC LATE MODEL TOUR DEBUTS THIS SATURDAY IN VERNON, BC, CANADA



VANCOUVER, BC (Thursday, June 2, 2011) - Late Model drivers throughout the Province of British Columbia will compete in the new ASA Advance Testing BC Late Model Tour event this Saturday night. The best in the province will compete in the Associated Ready Mix 125-lap main event under the lights at the Motoplex Speedway & Event Park in Vernon, BC with racing at 6pm.

There will be a number of former champions and long term late model veterans competing for the first ever ASA sanctioned Canadian main event in over 20 years. Former Late Model champions include: Tom Berrow from Coquitlam, BC; Korbin Thomas, White Rock BC; and Matt Stevenson (ARCA West Sportsman Late Model Champion), Penticton BC.

Along with former champions, there will also be a number of highly talented veterans that include: Murray Dyck, Geoff Morris, Brent Morris, Brandon Carlson, Bob Kuhn, Dave Hemrich, Harvey Hoogenboom, Bart Smith, Rory Smith, Kalvin Louden, Mark Beriau, Sara Cornett-Ching, Gord Quaite, Gary Amedeo, John Ross, Wade Bland, Tyler Clough, Dave Willison, Don Nickel, Jeff Cameron, and many more.

ASA Advance Testing BC Late Model Tour officials are looking forward to an outstanding main event with the quality of racers pre-entered for this weekends opener. ASA President Dennis Huth will be in attendance to witness the first ever ASA Advanct Testing BC Late Model Tour event.

Gates open at 5pm with qualifying also scheduled to begin at that time. Racing will get underway at 6pm. Motoplex Speedway and Event Park is located at 9531 Hwy 97, Vernon, BC.

Officials are also expecting sunny skies in the beautiful Okanagan this weekend and can't wait to get this highly competitive series started to crown the first ever ASA Advance Testing BC Late Model Tour Champion.
