"Terrible" Tim Rolls Again

Tacoma, Washington
7-27-2010 – After mechanical failures sidelined "Terrible" Tim McDougald and his #68 KMB Design / Hargis Engineers / Print-NW / Ringers Gloves / Cornwell Tools Toyota Camry, Tim and his HayWire Racing team will once again rejoin the competition at Southsound Speedway this Saturday, July 31st.

In a season that has the small family run team shaking their collective heads in disbelief, the coming race weekend is one of the few bright spots on an otherwise dismal 2010 schedule. Having spent all winter building a new car, the HayWire Racing team entered 2010 with a renewed vigor and a competitive swagger. But that attitude was quickly snatched from the team after only a couple very short runs in the #68 KMB Design / Hargis Engineers / Print-NW / Ringers Gloves / Cornwell Tools Toyota Camry ended with mechanical failures each time, the last one sidelining the team for the better part of two months.

But in their typical "never say die" way, the team went to work on the #68 KMB Design / Hargis Engineers / Print-NW / Ringers Gloves / Cornwell Tools Toyota Camry to get it and driver "Terrible" Tim back to the track. "I can't thank my guys enough," said an excited "Terrible" Tim. "We have had so many problems this year that some times you wonder if you should just try again next year. But these guys always get it back together and here we are, ready to race again."

With only 4 races left on the schedule, "Terrible" Tim rejoins the competition with a different goal. "We started the season chasing the 'Rookie-of-the-Year' title," said McDougald. "But that didn't work out so well. Then we kind of readjusted the goal to running competitively. Now I think it's just to finish a race. I've never had a season like this one. We've always run pretty competitive; I've never seen anything like this. I have to thank my guys for just hanging in there and my sponsors for being so patient. Hopefully we can close out this season with some solid runs and show that we can compete with the field."

Be sure to catch the HayWire Racing team, the #68 KMB Design / Hargis Engineers / Print-NW / Ringers Gloves / Cornwell Tools Toyota Camry and driver "Terrible" Tim McDougald as they return to competition at Southsound Speedway in Tenino, Washington this coming weekend, July 31st.
