PGP HAS PLENTY OF NEW IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE 2011 RACING SEASON

KENT, Wash. — (April 22, 2011) Spring has sprung and sooner or later it’s got to stop raining, right? But just like the racing at PGP, our Spring Cleaning has been rain or shine and we’ve been pretty busy making the region’s premier multi-purpose motorsports venue even better!

Here are some things that we’ve been working on:
• New servers and computers have been installed in the scoring tower — literally the center of the universe for us at PGP — and the sound system at the track has been greatly improved by the addition of new mixing boards, wireless microphones and six tower speakers.

• PGP’s rental kart fleet is being restored to our high standards for events in time for the start of the season. And we have a ton of events scheduled, too many to list here but to find out visit www.pacificgp.com.

• Real restrooms — one of our most-requested upgrades — are going through some final planning before placement but all equipment on site.

• The in-ground scales have been finished and a new fence along the hot-pit lane will be installed soon which will improve safety.

• We continue to develop the corner lighting system at the track and are constantly updating our INIS software for event operations.

• Based on customer feedback we’ve made adjustments to make online viewing events at PGP easier than before. Now you won’t need to enter any information, just click on the link and watch. As always, events are also available for “on demand” viewing at later dates.

• Tired of running through gravel to get to us? So are we, but not for much longer. We will be paving the access road to the paddock area, as well as expanding the paddock area.

• New vendors have been lined up to support events with food and we’ll have a beer vendor for those events that support spectators.
• Because we know your time at PGP is important, we’ve assembled a new crew for event operations and specifically for technical directions and on-track scrutineering.

• The classroom hut is all finished and is a great spot for parties as well as learning the ins and outs of the fastest way around PGP.

Have an idea of something we can do to make your PGP experience even better? Let us know! Grab a staff member at the track, give us a call or send us an email.
