Brett Thompson Eyes Title Run; Focused, Determined, Driven

JEROME, IDAHO (April 12, 2011) Brett Thompson, driver of the RTTI/Jerome Truck Service Chevrolet, is coming off a fifth place performance in round one of the NASCAR K&N Pro Series at Phoenix last month. Heading into this weekend's NAPA Auto Care "150" at All American Speedway located in Roseville, CA, Thompson has a renewed sense of purpose.

Thompson's team will debut a brand new short track car completely built in-house at their Jerome, Idaho shop. "I am really proud of all our guys and their dedication at Thompson Motorsports," Thompson said. "We have bulit several new cars over the winter in order to make a run at the championship this year. The new chassis was flawless at Phoenix and we feel we will be just as good on the short tracks this season."

Adding to the excitement the team feels about 2011, Thompson's crew chief Charlie Wilson relocated to Jerome from North Carolina this past November. "Charlie being at the shop full-time has made a big difference on the team," Thompson offered. "His leadership on raceday has been important but his leadership in the shop the past several months has been critical."

Thompson spent much of the past decade racing in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series and with 100 starts under his belt, he knows what it takes to compete for wins and the championship. "This season is all about winning," Thompson continued. "We are putting all our efforts into this program and we plan to be competitive at every event in order to be in contention for the title at the end of the season."

"Racing at places like All American present unique challenges so you really have to be smart about the choices you make on track. I feel I am a much better driver heading into this season and I am more focused and determined then I have been in a number of years."

Thompson has three starts at All American Speedway since 2008 scoring one top ten finish. "The secret to any short track is qualifying," Thompson stated. "If you qualify up front then you don't have to abuse your tires trying to get to the front. Our goal is to qualify in the top four or five and take it easy for the first 100-laps, then hopefully make a charge late in the race."

"We know the fans will see a great race like they always do at All American and we hope were are the team in victory lane."
