Off-Road stars of Traxxas TORC Series are "LIVE" on SPEED Channel Thurs., Sept. 15!

INDIANAPOLIS (Sept. 8, 2011) - Round 12 of the 2011 TRAXXAS TORC Series, presented by AMSOIL, will be broadcast LIVE on SPEED Channel this coming Thurs., Sept. 15, from 9-11 p.m. EST.


Catch all your favorite stars on the TORC Series tour, along with special racing guests - motocross' James "Bubba" Stewart and NASCAR Trucks' Brendan Gaughn - in this spectacular form of high flying, dirt churning, Baja-style truck racing motorsport - where you can catch all the airborne action from your seat!

The only live show for short course off road racing in 2011, Thursday's (Sept. 15) program will feature the top drivers contesting the PRO 4x4, PRO 2 and PRO Light championships, as well as to-the-minute trackside reporting on all the action and incidents fans of TORC series racing are accustom to.

"There's no telling what's going to happened on the TORC Series when the cameras start rolling," said Kevin Miller, President of USAC/TORC. "Our Discovery HD program documents that entirely. But with live TV cameras rolling in Chicago, I'm expecting the action to ratchet up even more on Thursday at Chicagoland Speedway."

What: Traxxas TORC Series, presented by AMSOIL - short course off-road truck racing - the world's premier Baja-style off-road racing in a stadium setting!

Who: The TORC Series showcases champion drivers like Ricky Johnson, Samuel Hubinette, Rob MacCachren,Johnny Greaves, Scott Douglas, Mike & Mark Jenkins, Bryce Menzies, Casey Currie, Chad Hordl and Jeff Kincaid. NASCAR greats Kyle Busch and Robby Gordon have also got behind the wheel of a PRO TORC truck!

Time: Gates open at 2 p.m., qualifying begins at 4 p.m., main event opening ceremonies begin at 7 p.m.
