ASA RACING LABOR DAY WEEKEND RESULTS

ASA ADVANCED TESTING BRITISH COLUMBIA LATE MODEL TOUR


Western Speedway (Victoria, BC, Canada)
Korbin Thomas won the Canada 200 on Saturday night. Geoff Morris was second with Jason Terasenko in third. Morris’s second place finish was enough for him to become the first ever ASA Advance Testing BC Late Model Tour champion.

GRAYS HARBOR RACEWAY (Elma, WA)

There were two nights of racing over the holiday weekend. On Saturday night, Garret Johnson held off Reece Goetz to win the Ford Focus Midget main event, ending Reece’s streak. Tom Sweatman won in the Hobby Stocks and Ben Callies won in the Hornets.

On Sunday night, Goetz was back in victory lanes as he won the Ford Focus Midget main event. Logan Forler won the 360 Sprints A-Main. Cory Sweatman won in the Hobby Stocks and Shane Turner won in the Hornets.

MERIDIAN SPEEDWAY (Meridian, ID)

There were two nights of great racing action this past weekend. On Saturday, Dennis Wurtz II won the first and third segments of the 99-lap Late Model Sporsmen feature that was raced in three 33-lap segments. Dan Lowther won the second segment. Melissa Weaver won the Street Stocks. Ben Mathison won in the Legends. Jerry Rice won in the Pro Trucks. Cameron Cotta won the 2011 Legends season championships.

On Sunday, Tyler Bailey won the Late Model Sportsman feature while Chris Fenton won the season championship. Chance Davis won the Junior Stinger feature while Cody Garrett won the championship. Travis Burke won the Sprint Car feature and Jasen Skyberg was crowned the 2011 champion. Jordan Fitch won the Pro-4 Championship and Joe Barton took home the 2011 championship. IP Freely won in the Thunder Dogs.

ROCKY MOUNTAIN RACEWAYS (West Valley City, UT)

RMR hosted two nights of racing with events on Saturday and Monday nights. On Saturday, Jim Waters won the Sprint Car feature. Austin Luttmer won the Focus Midgets main event. Tim Fahrner won the Super stock feature as well as the Figure 8 feature. Train Shake Rattle won the Figure 8 Trains.

On Monday, Michael Hale held off Tyler Whetstone and Bryan Wordelman to win the Maverik Modified feature. Barry Egolf won in the Super Stocks. Kori Combs won in the Mini Cups and Joshua Murray won in the Hornets

SKAGIT SPEEDWAY (Burlington, WA)

Skagit Speedway welcomed the World of Outlaws this past Friday and Saturday night. Craig Dollansky won the 30-lap A-Main on Friday night. Sam Hafertepe Jr. won the 40-lap A-Main on Saturday night to earn his first WoO win and take home a check for $20,000.

SOUTHERN OREGON SPEEDWAY (Medford, OR)
Brian Poppa won the 2011 Lon Skinner Memorial this past Saturday night. He held off Randy McDaniel and Alex Stanford for the win. Scott Lenz won the A-Main on Friday night.

YAKIMA SPEEDWAY (Yakima, WA)

Yakima Speedway hosted the Labor Day Spectacular on Sunday night. Owen Riddle won the Super Late Model feature event over Shane Mitchell and Mike Holden. Rich Peters won in the Super Stocks. Lucas Valdez won in the Sportsman. Jeff Liebert won in the Pure Stocks. Josh Hamilton won in the Hornets and Josh Aguirre won the Bump to Pass main event.
