CarbonX Rocky Mountain Challenge Series Duel for the 200 Post Race‏

Sharp in Shape at Stateline Duel
Newhouse Regains Point Lead over Jones and Thompson

POST FALLS, ID (July 31, 2010) Zan Sharp of Wellsville, UT dominated the second half of the 100-lap Duel for the 200 at Stateline Stadium Speedway in Post Falls, ID to score his sixth career CarbonX Rocky Mountain Challenge Series win in front of an enthusiastic crowd. Sharp, a former two-time series champion, started 17th and steadily moved through the field to take the lead on lap 47 and held off a determined challenge from Danny Rhodes over the final 20 laps. A late caution set up a green, white, checkered finish with Sharp holding off Rhodes followed by Bruce Quale in third. 2009 series champion John Dillon finished fourth with Dave Garber edging Craig Bell at the line for fifth.

The top six point finishers in the RMCS race are locked in to Sunday's Idaho 200. Those driver's include Zan Sharp, John Dillon, Bruce Quale, Dan Rhodes, Dave Garber, and Craig Bell. All other competitors will have to qualify into the race tomorrow.
