In Jefferson's last visit to the 1/3-mile paved oval of Magic Valley Speedway, he scored his his first victory in the CarbonX Rocky Mountain Challenge Series. This weekend he will have two chances at returning the victory lane with a 100-lap RMCS race set for Friday June 14 and the Southern Idaho 200 on Saturday evening.

Jefferson competed in several events in the now defunct NASCAR NW Tour and has more than 100 wins on the NW region's short tracks where he was known as 'superman'. Magic Valley Speedway has been a good track for the Washington native who now calls Parker, AZ home.

"The RMCS is a great series; one of the best out there," Jefferson said. "The racing format and rules package make it a level playing field for everyone. We have a really good car and a great setup for Magic Valley. Winning our last time there certainly gives us a lot of enthusiasm about our chances this weekend."

The CarbonX Rocky Mountain Challenge Series is a racers series inverting the top 20 from qualifying for the feature race. "There is going to be a lot a really good cars this weekend," Jefferson offered. "I know Ty (Sunkel, crew chief) is excited to be back racing and I can't wait for this weekend."

While Jefferson will pilot the #5 entry, Dave Reed is excited to finally make the trip to Idaho. "Jason has done a real good job for us and I am looking forward to playing some golf and racing in Idaho," Reed said.

The festivities at Magic Valley get underway with an open practice session from 3-9pm Thursday night along with a BBQ hosted by the MVS staff. Friday, June 14 the CarbonX Rocky Mountain Challenge Series will take to the track in the Mr. Gas "100" then on Saturday the Southern Idaho "200" is on tap where Jefferson and the rest of the competitors will vie for one of 26 starting positions in this marquee event.

Jefferson will also carry logos on the race car for the Montana 200 which is set for mid-July where he will also drive for Dave Reed. "We want to let people know about the Montana 200," Jefferson stated. "Montana offers some great short track racing where both fans and competitors will enjoy the Montana experience."
