DAYTONA BEACH, FL (Thursday, November 1, 2012) – ASA Racing has announced a new benefit effective today. The “ASA Advantage Benefit Plan” is a new feature for ASA Members to purchase affordable health and life insurance plans for themselves, their family and for their workers if they own a small business. ASA Members will be able to purchase health and life plans at a group rate rather than an individual rate.

“When we started our ASA membership program, our goal was to find unique and valuable benefits for those who are dedicated to grass roots short track racing and for our ASA members,” Dennis Huth, ASA President said. “We have been constantly enhancing our membership program with what we feel our members need today while at the track and away from the track. This is a first of a kind product in short track racing overall and we are excited to provide this great opportunity today. Everyone is looking for affordable insurance and this will be a great place to find the specific plan they are looking for.”

The ASA Advantage Benefits Plan is a partnership with AmWINS Group Benefits, a provider of association insurance for association members.

The ASA Racing/AmWINS Group Benefits partnership was set up with the help of Jeff Ladd at Sports Insurance Specialists in Fort Wayne, IN. Sports Insurance Specialists is also the provider for ASA Racing, ASA Member Tracks and sanctioned series. “We brought our idea to Jeff and he and his staff jumped right on developing this program for us,” Huth said. “This continues to be a great partnership with SIS, and we are now able to work together, creating plans for our tracks, series, and members both at the track and away from the track. Together we are working on programs to protect those who enjoy and support short track racing like we do.”

"Working with ASA Racing is especially good since our products offer excellent coverage and affordability for ASA members," stated Ladd, president of Sports Insurance Specialists. "We understand the motorsports industry inside and out, and we recognize the need for strong benefits that can offset the risks involved with the sport. We worked hard with ASA to develop a program that not only provides greater support, but also greater peace of mind. That's exactly what SIS is all about."

“AmWINS understands Associations like ASA and their need to provide quality benefit programs for our members,” Huth explained. “They have a relationship with more than 200 leading insurance carriers and benefit manufacturers, enabling them to provide ASA members a broad access of benefit solutions.”

The ASA Advantage Benefits Plans offers options in:
Health Insurance
Term Life Insurance
Simplified Issue
Dental Plan (not available in all states)
Prescription Plan
Pet Insurance

“What makes ASA Racing unique as a sanctioning body is that we are not simply focused on what we can do for our members at the track, but what we can do for them away from the track,” Huth said. “But, this is not just for the members themselves. They can find plans for their families and if they are a small business owner, find affordable plans for their employees. We feel this program continues to show our dedication to grass roots short track racing.”

Huth also stated that with the variety of insurance carriers that AmWINS works with, a member should be able to find an affordable plan that is best suited for them, their family and employees.
