Heritage Motor Sports to Field Two-Car Effort At All American


ROSEVILLE, CA (October 14, 2011) John Gomez, owner of Heritage Motor Sports, will field a two-car effort this weekend at All American Speedway in Roseville, CA for the NASCAR K&N Pro Series Toyota/NAPA Auto Parts "150" event. The race is the 13th event of the season and will feature the largest field of competitors ever at the one-third mile paved oval.




Making his debut in the series is 15-year old Andrew Murray from Temecula, CA. Murray, who will become the youngest driver to compete in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series' 58-year history at just 12-days past his 15th birthday eclipsing the mark set earlier this year by Cameron Hayley, is one of rising stars of the sport.



Murray comes to the series with an impressive resume' in Karting, Focus Midgets, Sprint Cars, and Late Models where he has won numerous races and championships. This season he has primarily focused on running Late Model Stock Cars at Toyota Speedway at Irwindale where he has made eight starts.



Murray's goal is to continue up the racing ladder and become the youngest driver to ever compete in NASCAR's upper divisions. He will be driving the #32 Mercury Insurance Chevrolet in his series debut.



In the Heritage Motor Sports primary car will be Jacob Gomes out of Manteca, CA driving the #22 Sunny Valley Ham & Bacon Chevrolet. Gomes is having a breakout year in the SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour this season where he has won three times and currently sits third in the point standings heading into the final two races of the season.



Gomes has two previous starts in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series with a best finish of tenth coming in this event last year. Gomes will also be one of a handful of drivers doing double duty this weekend competing in both the NASCAR K&N Pro Series and the SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour events at All American Saturday night.



Primary Heritage Motor Sports driver Jonathon Gomez will be back in action in the series finale at Phoenix in November and is supported by Heritage Cattle Company, Century Boatland, J&C Custom Harvesting, United Oil, Modern Machinery, DJ Safety, and Gomez Farms. Jonathon Gomez is the 2010 SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Champion. Gomez is also a winner on the CarbonX Rocky Mountain Challenge Series and in the Mustang Challenge Series at Miller Motorsports Park. Gomez has 25 career NASCAR K&N Pro Series starts with five top five and 11 top ten performance with a career best finish of second.
