Andrew Caddell's 2010 Racing Plans

Here it is June 2010 and Andrew's racing season is just getting started, but what a season it looks like it is going to be! After growing up at the off road tracks as a youngster helping out with the Caddell family off road racing efforts, Andrew is going back to his roots and will be racing in the Traxxas TORC Series Presented by AMSOIL in 2010! Andrew was asked a while back if he had ever raced off road before, he jokingly said "not on purpose" but he will be now!

If you have not heard about Traxxas TORC Series Presented by AMSOIL, here is a link to a what the action will look like when broadcast starting in September in high definition on the HD Theater network.

Andrew will be driving the #43 Jenkins Brothers Racing Pro Light Ford Ranger with primary sponsorship from Traxxas and associate sponsorship from BF Goodrich, AMSOIL, King Shocks, Simpson Race Products, and personal sponsorship from SafeRacer, Aimsports, and Victory Lane Data.

As we have got closer to this weekend's opening round on the Pro classes in the Traxxas TORC Series Presented by AMSOIL in Crandon, WI many hours of preparation have gone into the truck and Andrew to be as ready as possible.

First the truck has been modified to replace the 4 cylinder engine with a new spec V-8 that is now allowed in the class based on a rule change that has the short course off road racing community buzzing. The 4 cylinder trucks from years past are still able to run and the cost saving new spec V-8 trucks will now compete side by side and many longtime off road racers think this will create huge growth in this class.

Second, Andrew has had 3 days of testing in the truck over the past few weeks including 2 days at this track of this week's race, Crandon, WI. The testing went great and Andrew got up to speed very quickly but knows there is still a lot to learn. Here is an exciting on-board video "YouTube" link to a lap of Andrew testing at Crandon.

Andrew's Pro Light class races are scheduled to be at:

Saturday - 5:00pm Eastern // 2:00pm Pacific
Sunday - 3:35pm Eastern // 12:35pm Pacific
