KENT, Wash. — (May 16, 2011) Variety is the spice of life. Some folks like just cheese on their pizza, others want the works (hold the anchovies, please). Same with ice cream sundaes (sprinkles, nuts and a cherry on top for me, if you don’t mind).
PGP Motorsports Parks gets it, so we came up with the Stars of Motorsports Series, giving our customers the chance to try as many or as few types of racing as they’d like in one event: cars, bikes, karts or scooters.
Stars of Motorsports events do not require previous race experience, either, so they’re a perfect opportunity for new racers to get on track to see what all the excitement is about.
The four-round Spring-Summer Stars of Motorsports Series opens this Wednesday, May 18 with five classes — Rental Karts, SuperMoto, DRZ/Scooters, Lap Attack and Competitive Karts. There will be no drifting classes for this event but the BBQ will be fired up so bring along whatever you like to grill and eat.
Practice begins at 5 p.m. and you can race in as many or a few classes as you like. Pre-registration is required as space is limited in the Rental Kart and Lap Attack classes. The registration form can be found at the “Racing@PGP>Competitive Kart Racing>Forms/Info/Rules” tab at www.PacificGP.com.
For both novice and expert Rental Kart racers, this is the perfect chance to get some extra track time in preparation for the next Rental Kart League Racing or Stars of PGP Kart Series events.
The Lap Attack class winner will be determined based on which driver turns the most consistent lap times, so everyone has a shot at climbing to the top step of the podium.
Stars of Motorsports events are held on Wednesdays with remaining Spring and Summer events scheduled for June 15, July 20 and the finale on August 31.
Try something new or just enjoy what you like the most. Either way PGP Motorsports Park has you covered with the Stars of Motorsports Series so you can race your car, kart and bike all on the same day on PGP’s state-of-the-art .82-mile asphalt track.
