I-5 CORRIDOR SERIES COMES TO PGP THIS WEEKEND FOR RACES 3 AND 4

KENT, Wash. — (June 22, 2011) The I-5 Corridor Series shifts to PGP Motorsports Park this weekend, with the top kart racers in the Pacific Northwest expected to take part in Races 3 and 4 on Saturday and Sunday respectively.

The next two rounds of the Stars of PGP Kart Series, which includes a rental kart class, will be held in conjunction with the I-5 Series.

For competitors in both series staying off-site, you will want to stick around after the racing is done on Saturday as we’ll have Audi Expo cars on display, a live band, food vendors and a beer/wine bar.

PGP will kick-off the weekend at 9 a.m. on Friday with dedicated kart practice sessions for both racers in both the I-5 Series and the Stars of PGP Kart Series. We’ll also have rental karts available later on Friday and Saturday night for those who want to hang out at the track.

Jointly hosted by PGP and Pat’s Acres Racing Complex (PARC) in Canby, Ore., the I-5 Corridor Series follows a race weekend format and uses the popular SKUSA stock Honda class structure to help prepare racers for this year’s SKUSA's ProMoto Tour and the SKUSA SuperNationals in Las Vegas this November.

This season the series will be an official Rotax Max Challenge (RMC) Series, qualifying participants for the 2011 U.S. Rotax Max Challenge Grand Nationals to be held July 19-23 at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooelle, Utah. The series will adhere to the Rotax Max Challenge Series structure from top to bottom, using accredited officials and running specified RMC-length heats and mains.

I-5 Series events at PGP will also be broadcast online live and can be viewed by following the link on PGP’s website, www.pacificgp.com.
