Northwest Region announces pre-race show!
Stacy Verrall, SEATTLE, Wash. (March 27, 2010) – Warning to race fans in the northwest and beyond! Fred Rannard is going from trackside to worldwide, and he’s bringing ASCS Northwest teams, sponsors and promoters with him!
After a successful 2009 beta test, the ASCS Northwest will officially launch a 30 minute pre-race show this season titled The Passing Point, hosted by series announcer, Fred Rannard Jr.
"I look forward to stepping up and doing the show,” Rannard shares. “I see it being great for our series. We will make it fun for the fans and the guests.”
The show will be broadcast live at the track for fans attending ASCS Northwest races AND for fans watching from home on their computers. The hope is that The Passing Point will offer greater insights and a deeper appreciation for the drivers, teams, sponsors and promoters diligently working together to offer the northwest one of the finest racing experiences of the summer.
“I’m excited for the teams, fans and promoters this season,” Greg Burgess, Series Director, emphasizes. “This will not only help drivers and teams with more exposure, but it will be great for their sponsors as well. Fans at this level of racing don’t always get a lot of insight into the stars of the sport. The Passing Point will hopefully change some of that and be a fun and rewarding adventure for all.”
Sponsored in part by JD Inflatable Advertising and produced/filmed by ASCS Northwest staffers Brian Egan and Nathan Prince, The Passing Point is a must see for all who consider themselves dirt track fans.
Together we can make the northwest the premier destination for sprint car racing, and The Passing Point is a small step towards uniting the fans, teams, sponsors, and promoters in the direction of “togetherness.”
