In It's Ninth Season, RMCS Offers Unique Format And Is A Special Series To Be A Part Of

BOISE, ID (September 6, 2012)- While rain may have washed out the CarbonX Rocky Mountain Challenge Series event this past weekend at Rocky Mountain Raceways outside Salt Lake City, Utah, enthusiasm within the series remained high. The series will close its ninth season of competition next weekend and series principles are already putting together the 2013 schedule highlighted by a big two-day 200-lap event at Rocky Mountain Raceways next summer. Here are some of the unique series numbers: 0- No driver has ever won from the pole position in series history. 1- The exceptional RMCS team is led by Mike Minegar. 2- The 2012 championship has come down to two drivers. Bruce Quale and Steve Jones. 5- The series has competed at five different racing venues. Magic Valley Speedway, Rocky Mountain Raceways, Meridian Speedway, Stateline Speedway, and Chaparral Speedway (now closed). 5- The number of different series champions. Zan Sharp (3), Dave Minegar (2), John Newhouse, John Dillon, Steve Jones. 6- There have been six races cancelled due to whether and all have come at RMR. 7- Joe Miller timed in at RMR this past weekend for their first race of the season.
