ASA RACING LABOR DAY WEEKEND SCHEDULE



ASA ADVANCED TESTING BRITISH COLUMBIA LATE MODEL TOUR

Western Speedway (Victoria, BC, Canada)
The first ASA Advance Testing BC Late Model Tour Champion will be crowned this Saturday night. The Canada 200 is one of the most prestigious Late Model events in British Columbia. The racing excitement will keep you on the edge of your seat! Tom Berrow comes into the event with a two-point lead over Geoff Morris and a six-point lead over Dave Hemrich. Brent Morris is fourth, only 16 points behind Berrow.

GRAYS HARBOR RACEWAY (Elma, WA)

There will be two great nights of racing this weekend. On Saturday, the Street Stocks, Hobby Stock Open, Midgets and Hornets will be in action. On Sunday, the Sprints will have a $2,000 to win main event along with the Midgets, Street Stocks, Hobby Stocks Open and Hornets in action. Adult admission for each night is $13, Juniors 15-18/Miltary is $10.00, Youths 6-14 is $5.00, Family Pass (2 Adults and up to 4 youths) is $30.00, and Premium ticket is $20.00. Racing starts at 6:30pm each night.

MERIDIAN SPEEDWAY (Meridian, ID)

Two regional racing tours will bring their record-setting acts to ASA-sanctioned Meridian Speedway for the Labor Day weekend.On Saturday, the Intermountain Pro Trucks presented by Champion Produce run as part of the Project Filter 99 for the NAPA Late Model Sportsman division at the historic quarter-mile paved oval.The NAPA Late Model Sportsman drivers kick off their championship weekend by chasing a total purse of $3,000 in a segment race.Other classes on tap Saturday include the College of Western Idaho Professional Truck Driving Street Stocks and the Domino’s Pizza Legends. Spectacular Drags also will be staged.On Sunday, the SPI Sprintcars — formerly known as the Idaho Sprintcar and Roadster League — runs its championship night at Meridian. Also on Tates Rents Appreciation Night, the NAPA Late Model sportsman division drivers race their season finale.The Project Filter Pro-4s, Jr. Stingers and Thunder Dogs also will compete. The final Westby’s Bike Races for Kids event also will be held.Jerry Rice of Twin Falls, Idaho, mimicked his Pro Football Hall of Fame namesake, and ran to the Meridian track record of 14.808 seconds in the first Pro Trucks series appearance at Meridian in July.Bruce Gillogly of Nampa, Idaho, shattered Bob Bachman’s ISRL track record in the Kuna, Idaho legend’s own racecar the last time the six-cylinder sprinters were in town. Gillogly ran a 13.619 lap.Gates open at 4 p.m. with racing at 6:30 p.m.Admission is $10 for adults, $7.50 for senior citizens and military personnel with ID, $6 for ages 7-11 and children 6-and-under free. A family pass good for two adults and up to four children ages 7-11 is available for $30.

ROCKY MOUNTAIN RACEWAYS (West Valley City, UT)

The Super Oval action returns this Saturday night and Monday night at RMR. On Saturday, the Sprints, Super Stocks, Ford Focus Midgets, Figure 8 and Figure 8 Trains will be in action. Racing starts at 6pm. Monday will feature the Doomsday Trailer Races with the Maverik Modifieds, Super Stocks, Mini Cups and Hornets in action along with the famous Trailer race. SKAGIT SPEEDWAY (Burlington, WA)

The World of Outlaws will invade Skagit this Friday and Saturday night. The DAA Late Models will join WoO on Friday and the Hornets on Saturday. Grandstands open at 5pm with Racing at 7pm each night. Please contact the Speedway’s office for ticket information.

SOUTHERN OREGON SPEEDWAY (Medford, OR)

YAKIMA SPEEDWAY (Yakima, WA)

The Labor Day Weekend Spectacular is this Sunday with the Akland Irrigation 100. The Super Late Model Challenge Series, Super Stocks, Sportsman, Pure Stocks, Hornets and Bump to Pass will be in action. Gates open at 2pm with Opening Ceremonies at 4pm. Adult admission is $13, Seniors and Students are $11, Kids $5 and under 5 is free with an adult.
