DAYTONA BEACH, FL (Thursday, July 8, 2010) - The heat is on as many ASA Member Tracks and Sanctioned Series head into their mid-season stretch. Here is a look at what is happening this weekend in ASA Racing.
ASA NORTHWEST SPRINTCAR RACING SERIES
(Statelline Stadium & Speedway, Post Falls, ID)
After a four week break, the high flying asphalt winged sprints are back in action this Saturday night. Matt Hein has a seven point lead over Sierra Jackson in the standings with Justin Mack only nine points back.

GRAYS HARBOR RACEWAY
Elma, WA
A full racing program with fireworks is scheduled for this Saturday night. All divisions will be competing in main events only. Sprint Cars, Modifieds, Midgets, Hobby Stocks and Hornets will be in action.

MERIDIAN SPEEDWAY
(Meridian, ID)
Veteran drive Kenny Chandler of Boise, Idaho, looks to continue an impressive season Saturday night during the Project Filter All-Star Challenge Pro-4 segment race at ASA-sanctioned Meridian Speedway. The Pro-4 challenge highlights Military Appreciation Night. Anyone who shows a military ID gets into the track free. Also on the bill are the NAPA Latemodel Sportsman drivers, the Domino's Pizza Legends, the College of Western Idaho Professional Truck Driving School Street Stocks and the Thunder Dogs.

ROCKY MOUNTAIN RACEWAYS
(West Valley City, UT)
The Young Automotive USAC/SLVRA Rocky Mountain Sprints return to Rocky Mountain Raceways Saturday, July 10. Only twenty-one points separate former track champions Jimmy Wysong and Jimmy Waters. Wysing has one first and second place finish. Waters has one second place finish and two third place finishes. The two former champions have consistently impressed fans this season with quick times and expert racing. Super Stocks will also return with Eric Rhead a top the points, with a 9 point lead over Richard Clegg. Rhead has finished in the top three for this seasons two Super Stock races. Dex Mini Cups, Legends and Hornets will also hit the track this weekend.
All seats will be $5. Gates open at 4pm. Qualifying begins at 5pm and racing starts at 6pm.

SKAGIT SPEEDWAY
(Burlington, WA)
The Northwest's Largest and Longest Les Schwab Tires Fireworks Extravaganza follows the evenings racing festivities. 410 Sprints, Budweiser 360 Sprints, Cook Road Shell Sportsman Sprints, & The Outlaw Hornets. Gates open at 5:30pm, racing at 7:00pm.

SOUTHERN OREGON SPEEDWAY
(Medford, OR)
Two nights of racing coming up. First on Saturday it's a full racing program with Sprints, Modifieds, Super 4's, Dwarfs, Mini Stocks in action. Then on Monday its ASCS Speedweek Race #1 with nothing but 360 Sprint Cars in action.
