"Our goal is to win the track championship," Newhouse said. "We have already accomplished a lot this season but there is a lot more racing to do. If we can continue doing what we have done so far we will achieve our ultimate goal, and that is win the track championship."
Newhouse may be one of the most talented young racers behind the wheel in America but she also drives for a world-class racing team. Thompson Motorsports, owned by Rich Thompson a successful business entrepreneur in Jerome and managed by Brett Thompson a veteran of NASCAR competition, fields and maintains the Chevrolet Camaro that Newhouse drives.
"Hannah is holding her own and has been real impressive so far this season," offered Brett Thompson, Team Manager. "She listens really well, provides good feedback to the crew, and is very poised behind the wheel. We definitely want her to succeed and have an opportunity to move up in the sport. We believe in her and have a lot of confidence in her ability."
Newhouse is back in action this Saturday night in NASCAR Whelen All American Series at MVS where she will compete in two main events to make-up for a rain out two weeks ago. This past Saturday, Newhouse scored her first ASA Intermountain Pro Truck Series victory and backed that up with a third place effort in a special double main event. She was rookie-of-the year in the ASA trucks last season and is currently second in the point standings this season.

The Thompson Motorsports team will also be back in action in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series at Colorado National Speedway located north of Denver this weekend with 18-year Braeden Havens behind the wheel of the #61. Havens finished 11th in his last start for the team July 14 at Evergreen Speedway in Monroe, WA. He also competed in the prestigious Montana "200" this past weekend.
Havens has made four starts for the Thompson Motorsports team this season and has proven himself in competition visiting new racetracks where he has never competed. Havens has been running at the conclusion of each race with a career best finish of 8th.
"Braeden has done a real good job this season," Brett Thompson said. "He is a real clean driver and knows how to take care of the car. I believe he is going to have a great run at Colorado and compete for the win."
After the race in Colorado, the team heads directly to Newton, Iowa for the next event Friday, August 3 at the 7/8-mile banked oval of Iowa Speedway. Brett Thompson will be back in the drivers seat for that event in a new chassis purposely built for the faster and bigger tracks on the circuit.
