JEROME, IDAHO (May 3, 2012)- The Thompson Motorsports team
will be in action this weekend with 18-year old Braeden Havens
returning to the #61 NASCAR K&N Pro Series machine at Stockton (CA)
99 Speedway while Hannah Newhouse welcomes new sponsors to
her NASCAR Whelen All American Series Camaro this Saturday at
Magic Valley Speedway in Twin Falls, Idaho.
Havens will make his second start for the Thompson Motorsports
team in his first visit to the quarter-mile oval at Stockton. He is
coming of an eighth place performance back on April 14 and is
looking forward to the challenge that Stockton provides.
"We've been really fortunate and had really good finishes to start
out the year with both the K&N (Pro Series) car and our super
late model," Havens stated. "It's been a lift to our program to
be successful with the new K&N ride, and really has boosted
my confidence as a driver."
"The first race (Havasu) was a 'getting to know each other' event,
and now that we've done that we can just focus on going out
andgetting to the front. Thompson Motorsports racecars are always
fast and well prepared so I'm excited to get back behind the
wheel
of the No. 61 at Stockton this weekend."
Meanwhile, 15-year old Hannah Newhouse welcomes two new
sponsors to the team as 102.9FM ESPN Radio The Zone comes
on-board for the remainder of the season as well as Coca Cola.

The NASCAR Whelen All American Series at Magic Valley will
contest 21-races over 17 race weekends through mid-September
and Newhouse is solely focused on winning the season championship
becoming the first and youngest female to do so.
Race Rewind from Miller
Brett Thompson finished a disappointing 20th at last weekends
NASCAR K&N Pro Series race at Miller Motorsports Park in Utah.
Thompson was running in the top five when another driver got into
the back of his RTTI Chevrolet sending him spinning into the gravel traps.
Thompson was able to return to action but three subsequent flat tires
on three consecutive laps dropped him from contention.
